DATA ANALYST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Collection and Preparation

• Source, extract, and compile data from internal systems, databases, and external sources to support analytical efforts
• Ensure data is clean, complete, and properly formatted by applying transformation and data-cleaning techniques
• Identify and resolve data quality issues through validation and cross-checking processes

Data Analysis and Interpretation

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies
• Use statistical techniques to provide quantitative insights and support hypothesis testing
• Conduct exploratory and predictive analyses to help inform strategic decisions

Reporting and Visualization

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
• Deliver regular reports on KPIs, business performance metrics, and ad-hoc data requests to stakeholders
• Translate complex analytical findings into simple, actionable insights tailored to different audiences

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business units (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand data needs and objectives
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and provide data-driven recommendations
• Serve as a subject matter expert on data availability, usability, and interpretation

Data Governance and Quality Assurance

• Maintain documentation for data sources, methodologies, and data definitions
• Monitor ongoing data integrity and consistency across systems and reports
• Support implementation and adherence to best practices for data security, access, and privacy

7. Presentation and Communication

• Present findings and insights in meetings or presentations, supporting strategic business decisions
• Communicate complex analytical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders
• Prepare detailed documentation and summaries for analytical projects

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role
• Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R
• Skilled in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Strong understanding of data management practices and database structures
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication and presentation abilities
