DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Verify that materials and workmanship meet the required standards.
- Monitor health, safety, and environmental practices on-site.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of daily site activities, inspections, and progress reports.
- Identify and report any defects, delays, or deviations from approved plans and specifications.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project managers to resolve site issues promptly.
- Ensure that all construction activities align with statutory regulations and company policies.
- Provide regular reports on construction progress to management.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (added advantage)
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Clerk of Works on active construction sites
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, standards, and building regulations
- Excellent observation and reporting skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with site teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with site reporting tools
