DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Verify that materials and workmanship meet the required standards.
  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental practices on-site.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of daily site activities, inspections, and progress reports.
  • Identify and report any defects, delays, or deviations from approved plans and specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and project managers to resolve site issues promptly.
  • Ensure that all construction activities align with statutory regulations and company policies.
  • Provide regular reports on construction progress to management.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (added advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Clerk of Works on active construction sites
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, standards, and building regulations
  • Excellent observation and reporting skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with site teams
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with site reporting tools
