DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer purchases efficiently using POS systems
- Receive payments in cash, M-Pesa, and other forms
- Issue receipts, invoices, and credit notes as required
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Handle customer queries and resolve payment discrepancies
- Prepare delivery and dispatch documents
- Coordinate the dispatch of goods with drivers and logistics personnel
- Ensure orders are packed and delivered accurately and on time
- Update inventory systems with outgoing goods
- Track and report on delivery and dispatch status
- Maintain updated records of transactions, stock movements, and returns
- Assist with monthly stock takes and reconciliations
- Generate basic accounting and inventory reports when required
- Support office administrative tasks as delegated
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Accounting, or any related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a hardware store or fast-paced retail setting
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), Point of Sale (POS) systems, and/or Dispatch Software
- Familiarity with basic accounting procedures and inventory management systems
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
