CARPENTER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction.
• Select the appropriate wood, materials, and tools for each project based on specifications.
• Adhere to local building codes and regulations during construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations on site.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure timely project completion.
• Monitor and manage project tasks to ensure daily targets are achieved.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Vocational training certificate in Carpentry or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction or a similar field.
• Good knowledge of various wood types and construction materials.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong focus on safety compliance and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Project management skills are an added advantage.
