DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Housekeeping Operations

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure rooms are prepared according to the hotel’s standards before guest arrival.
  • Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, ironing, and proper storage of linens.

Team Support & Supervision

  • Support the Head Housekeeper and housekeeping team in daily operations.
  • Supervise housekeeping attendants and provide guidance when required.
  • Help coordinate staff schedules and daily task assignments.

Quality & Standards Compliance

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the property.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure standards are met.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Assist in monitoring housekeeping supplies and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Report shortages or discrepancies and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with hotel policies.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely to prevent accidents.
  • Participate in fire drills, safety training, and emergency procedures as required.

Guest Service Support

  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests related to housekeeping.
  • Assist in handling special guest requests such as extra amenities or room preparation.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management or Housekeeping.
  • 2–4 years of experience in hotel housekeeping.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or large facilities is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Physically fit to handle housekeeping duties and work in a fast-paced environment.
