MICROBIOLOGIST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct microbial tests and share reports as per timelines.
Carry out swabs as per timelines and share a report.
Ensure incoming materials are in compliance to required specifications.
Responsible for control of non- conforming materials and products.
Assist with investigation for customer complaints and nonconformance issues.
Assist with training and instruction for production operators.
Responsible for laboratory equipment and inventory.
Responsible for maintaining Good Housekeeping Practices in the laboratory.
Maintain accurate documentation in hard and soft copy of quality inspection and laboratory test results.
Responsible for testing competitor samples and assist in R&D and NPD.
Responsible to ensure food safety standards are maintained throughout the entire process.
Ensure all documentation of quality control activities has been done by end of shift
Monitor water purification and process systems water quality.
Analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished goods to ensure conformity to company specifications and legal requirements.
Ensure implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in production areas.
Implement Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

Degree in Microbiology/biology or related field
1-2 years of experience in microbiological testing or quality control, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with laboratory testing techniques and equipment.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality assurance protocols.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
