DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop Investigation/Work Plans:
- Develop detailed investigation plans for each case allocated, ensuring that each case is approached methodically and in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
- Clearly define the scope and objectives of each investigation, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
Undertake Investigations on Allegations:
- Conduct investigations into allegations of fraud, misappropriation of company property, or any criminal activity, ensuring a thorough, unbiased, and factual approach.
- Collect, preserve, and analyze evidence in compliance with legal standards to support findings and conclusions.
Carry Out Ad Hoc Investigations and Reviews:
- Respond to ad hoc investigations and reviews based on audit findings, internal reports, or management requests.
- Investigate any irregularities or concerns raised during routine audits or assessments.
Gather and Analyze Evidence:
- Gather physical, documentary, and electronic evidence related to the case at hand, ensuring proper chain of custody and documentation.
- Analyze gathered evidence and organize it into coherent statements, sets of records, and facts that are usable in legal proceedings.
Gather Information and Produce Intelligence Reports:
- Collect intelligence related to ongoing investigations and use it to support the investigative process.
- Prepare and produce comprehensive intelligence reports that inform the investigative process and assist in decision-making.
Ensure Safe Custody of Records and Evidence:
- Ensure all investigative records and evidence are safely stored and handled in compliance with Brookside Dairy’s policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Maintain a secure and organized filing system for all investigative materials.
Document Investigations:
- Document all investigations in a clear, concise, factual, and timely manner, maintaining an accurate and detailed record of all investigative actions taken and findings.
- Ensure that all reports are well-documented and comply with internal and external reporting requirements.
Support Prosecution Process:
- Support the prosecution process by attending court sittings involving cases you have investigated.
- Provide testimony or assist legal representatives as necessary, ensuring all relevant information is communicated clearly and professionally.
Other Duties:
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned from time to time, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the investigations team.
- Support other departments or management as needed in relation to investigations or compliance matters.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Criminal Justice, Law, Forensic Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in investigations, fraud detection, or a related field, preferably within the corporate or FMCG sector
- Knowledge of local laws, regulations, and best practices in investigations and evidence handling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret and organize large amounts of data
