DELIVERY DRIVER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely and efficiently drive heavy commercial vehicles, including FRR, FH, FSR, and Canter, to deliver goods to clients within Nairobi and surrounding routes.
• Ensure the safe handling and transportation of goods, maintaining the integrity and quality of the products during transit.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition before departure.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns related to the vehicle promptly to the supervisor.
• Adhere to company policies and traffic regulations to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering products promptly and professionally.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods at the delivery destination when required.
• Handle the necessary documentation related to deliveries (e.g., delivery notes, receipts).
• Report any delivery issues (e.g., delays, damages) to the logistics team for resolution.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• At least 5 years of experience driving heavy commercial vehicles, particularly FRR, FH, FSR, and Canter
• Proven track record in FMCG distribution, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• In-depth knowledge of Nairobi and surrounding areas
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members
