DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Supervise, lead, and mentor the camp staff, ensuring they deliver excellent customer service and uphold the camp's standards.
  • Schedule and manage staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage for all camp activities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training for team members as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, health regulations, and camp policies.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee the smooth running of camp facilities, including accommodation, dining areas, recreational spaces, and event venues.
  • Manage and maintain camp inventory, including supplies, equipment, and any specialized tools for activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external service providers to ensure smooth delivery of goods and services.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all camp operations, including emergency preparedness and response procedures.

Guest Relations:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
  • Create and implement engaging activities and events that enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat visits.
  • Act as the point of contact for all guest inquiries before, during, and after their stay.

Budget & Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the camp's annual budget, ensuring effective cost control and revenue maximization.
  • Monitor spending and maintain records of financial transactions, ensuring all expenditures are within budget.
  • Provide monthly reports on financial performance and operational efficiency to senior management.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently met, and oversee risk assessments for all activities.
  • Ensure that emergency procedures and first-aid protocols are clearly communicated and followed by both staff and guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all areas of the camp.

Program Development & Planning:

  • Develop and implement camp programs, activities, and special events that appeal to guests and align with the camp's mission.
  • Ensure that camp activities are well-planned, well-coordinated, and executed to the highest standard.
  • Work with other managers to tailor offerings based on guest feedback and evolving market trends.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Prior experience as a Camp Manager, with a proven track record in managing camp operations and staff.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in camp settings.
