DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Welcome clients warmly and assess their individual skincare needs through consultation.
  • Establish strong customer relationships by delivering personalized service and follow-ups.
  • Build a loyal customer base through exceptional service and consistent product knowledge.

Product Knowledge & Recommendations

  • Stay well-informed on the full range of skincare products offered, including their ingredients, benefits, and proper usage.
  • Recommend suitable products based on skin types (oily, dry, sensitive, combination, etc.), customer concerns (acne, aging, hyperpigmentation, etc.), and desired outcomes.
  • Keep abreast of new product launches, beauty trends, and competitor offerings.

Sales & Target Achievement

  • Actively promote and sell skincare products to walk-in customers and clients.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs set by management.
  • Participate in promotional campaigns and in-store activations to boost sales.

Demonstrations & Product Education

  • Conduct product demos and explain proper application techniques to clients.
  • Offer samples when appropriate and educate clients on how to incorporate products into their skincare routines.
  • Explain the benefits of different skincare routines (e.g., cleansing, exfoliation, moisturizing, sun protection) using your beauty therapy knowledge.

Merchandising & Store Presentation

  • Ensure product displays are attractive, well-organized, clean, and fully stocked.
  • Rotate stock based on expiry dates and assist in inventory control to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Report low stock levels and fast-moving products to management.

Customer Feedback & Market Insights

  • Gather and relay customer feedback to the management team to improve service and product offerings.
  • Monitor competitor products, prices, and promotions, and report market trends.
  • Suggest ideas for improving customer engagement and satisfaction.

Cashiering & Administrative Support

  • Process customer payments accurately and handle basic POS (Point of Sale) operations.
  • Issue receipts, manage returns or exchanges as per company policy, and reconcile daily sales.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and customer logs when required.

Team Support & Continuous Learning

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Attend regular training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff by sharing product knowledge and sales strategies, if requested.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Certificate in Beauty Therapy or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the beauty or skincare industry
  • Deep understanding of skin care products, ingredients, and benefits
  • Ability to confidently recommend and upsell products based on customer skin types and concerns
  • Proficient in basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) systems
