DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Review and manage general ledger entries, journal entries, and other accounting reports.
Cost Accounting & Budgeting:
- Conduct cost accounting analyses and help track costs to ensure budgetary adherence.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
- Provide insights on cost optimization and financial performance.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
- Process invoices, track payments, and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.
Financial System Management:
- Ensure the integrity of the company's accounting systems (Tally), including data entry, system updates, and user access control.
- Continuously review internal controls and accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to support business decisions.
- Work closely with management to identify financial trends and opportunities for improvement.
General Accounting:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure that all transactions are compliant with company policies and regulations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proven experience working with Tally accounting software. Familiarity with other financial software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- In-depth knowledge of accounts systems and financial accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for financial modeling and reporting.
